Fall Apple Crisp — A Simple and Decadent Recipe
It’s the season for delicious fall recipes! Apples are so yummy and versatile. We love going apple picking each year and make sure to grab extra apples for delicious recipes, just like this one!

What makes an apple crisp delicious?
Apple crisp has a classic crispy, sugary oat topping, full of cinnamon and butter. The apple filling is caramelly, buttery and gooey and boasts sweetness, tang and warmth all at the same time. It is best served warm, right from the oven and topped with a little bit of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
How to make fall apple crisp
You’ll begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9×13 baking dish or cast iron skillet. Make the crumb topping by whisking flour, brown sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl. Place the cubed butter into the bowl and use a fork, pastry cutter, or fingers to mix the topping together until it is crumbly. Stir in the oats. Put this mixture to the side and make the filling.

Toss all of the filling ingredients into a bowl, mix well and place in the baking dish. Sprinkle the crumble topping over the apple mixture. Bake for 40-45 minutes until the topping is a golden brown and the filling is bubbly by the edges. Cool for 5 minutes and then serve!
Enjoy!
