Fall Family Fun Activities the Whole Family Will Love!
Fall just so happens to be one of our favorite seasons. There’s just something beautiful about the gorgeous fall leaves, the crisp air and the incredible smells. We love spending time outside and enjoying the beautiful foliage and fresh air.
We’ve compiled a list of fall family fun activities that we love and believe your family will love too!
Fall Hiking
There is just something so glorious about hiking during the fall season. We love getting outside, in the fresh air, and taking a family hike. Plus, it’s free!
Take a hike and explore together! You can create a scavenger hunt, or find many different leaves that have fallen off the trees. The options for exploring and learning are endless.
Go Apple Picking
We look forward to apple picking each year. Our kids love finding the prettiest apples and collecting as many as they can.
Head to a Pumpkin Patch or Fall Festival
We are blessed to have many different pumpkin patches around to choose from. We definitely have our favorites and look forward to visiting them. The kids always enjoy the hayrides, corn mazes, sweet treats, farm animals and many other things the farm has to offer.
Have a Fire
Bundle up and head outside to have a campfire! Roast marshmallows or make some s’mores. Talk about what your thankful for or what activities you all enjoyed recently.
Go Tent Camping
Backyard camping is so fun! I would much rather camp in our backyard than drag all of the camping supplies to a campground.
We love trying to camp in our yard a few times a year. It feels like a mini getaway for the kids and we love the time we get together, completely unplugged.
Bake Together or Create a Yummy Treat
In my honest opinion, fall treats are just the best! If you pick apples, bake an apple pie or make homemade caramel apples. We also love making apple cobblers and crisps. You could make pumpkin pie from a fresh pumpkin. Roast pumpkin seeds. The options are endless and your kids will enjoy baking with you!
Make a Craft with Leaves
There are so many fun ideas out there when it comes to crafting with leaves. My boys love doing leaf imprints with paint or rubbings with pencils or crayons, leaf turkeys, and designing their own tree. Just head outside or on a hike and collect the prettiest leaves you can and make a craft together!
Take a Scenic Drive
Jump in the car and go for a family drive to enjoy the beautiful leaves. My boys LOVE playing the game I Spy on car rides or naming the many different colors of leaves they see. You could even make a pit stop for some dinner or a special treat.
